The Department of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at Cleveland Clinic has a staff of pulmonary physicians that treat a range of lung diseases, pulmonary disorders, and sleep disorders : allergies; asthma; bronchitis; COPD; cystic fibrosis; histoplasmosis; sarcoidosis; and sleep apnea, among many others.

Pulmonologists, critical care specialists, and allergists in Cleveland Clinic Department of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine have unparalleled expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of all diseases encompassed by their specialty. This expertise and experience attracts patients from all over the world who seek a definitive diagnosis or state-of-the-art treatments, from respiratory diseases to primary pulmonary hypertension to allergy problems  to asthma treatment  -- often for a rare or complex lung disease or disorder.

In January 2003, Cleveland Clinic established a Sarcoidosis Center to educate patients about the disease and develop new research projects that improve the understanding and treatment of sarcoidosis. Pulmonary physicians are also interested in educating patients about sarcoidosis and making resources available to the community.
