Our goal as a geriatric hospital is to create comprehensive geriatric care plans designed to preserve independence and improve quality of life for geriatri patients.

Our Physicians
Our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals begins with acting Head of the Section of Geriatric Medicine Barbara Messinger-Rapport, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.P., C.M.D. Next are Theodore Suh, M.D., Ph.D., M.H.Sc.; and Ronan Factora, M.D.; all Staff Physicians in the Section of Geriatric Medicine. They are all dedicated to geriatrics and to the assessment and care of older adults with complex medical conditions and social needs.
Our History of Geriatric Care
Our long history of caring for older adults at our geriatric hospital, expertise in providing comprehensive geriatric care, educational programming and unique Geriatric Fellowship Program have made Cleveland Clinic's Section of Geriatric Medicine one of the top programs of its kind in the United States. We perform cutting-edge research in Alzheimer's treatment and other geriatric conditions.
